Font Licensing For Today’s Digital World

Working with typography is inspiring, but staying on top of font licenses and compliance can be a real challenge for creative agencies and teams — until now.

Connect Fonts now provides holistic font licensing data so you can manage all of your third- party font licenses within the platform. It’s easy to add, edit, track, and store font license information. Now, everyone on your team knows what they can and can’t use, as well as when to purchase more licenses.

Want to try it for yourself?

Log in to Extensis Connect and select the new Font License tab from the menu column on the left of the interface. Once you’re in the License view, search by license name or font name to view or edit licenses. Go explore, or check out this step-by-step guide to learn more.

Kick PostScript Fonts To The Curb

Connect Fonts is here to help you deal with Adobe’s end-of-support for PostScript fonts. On that note, we’ve added new features to our Analytics Dashboard so you can take action today.

  • Font Type Reporting quickly identifies all fonts by type in your environment—including PostScript Type 1—so you understand the scope of what needs replacement and can group the offending fonts in a separate library.
  • Recently Active PostScript Fonts Reporting pinpoints which Type 1 fonts have been active in the past 30 days—and who activated them—so you can audit (and fix) any work about to go out the door (with the exact designer, as needed).

Log in to Extensis Connect select the Admin icon from the far left panel, select the reporting feature that best meets your needs, and ensure those Type 1 fonts are organized, easily accessible, and isolated from your current library of fonts.

September 2022

Great news for Connect Fonts users! The platform is now compatible with Directory Services from OKTA and Azure AD. What does that mean?

Account administrators can implement Single Sign-On for enhanced security, oversight, and a streamlined login process for users. Single Sign-On requires some work to set up, but you’re probably already familiar with its core benefits:

  • Login credentials simplification
  • Enhanced security/ reduces opportunities for cyber attacks
  • Supports regulation compliance
  • Saves time for everybody

Here are implementation instructions for OKTA and Azure AD. Feel free to reach out to our support team for a helping hand.
