Where fonts are concerned, brand consistency and license compliance are at the top of SANDOW’s list. While using a different font management solution, SANDOW experienced issues in critical areas which reduced their ability to effectively manage their fonts. Limitations in their ability to manage groups effectively, instability with other key applications and non-existent technical support were the key factors that made SANDOW switch their font management solution to Universal Type Server.

Since deploying Universal Type Server, they have solved many of their previous problems by simplifying processes and allowing for a much more efficient access to fonts.

Michael Shavalier, Director of Creative Operations at SANDOW, stated recently, “A big feature is the ability to provide remote access to a large group of editors in different parts of the country so they can synchronize and manage fonts locally, lessening the traffic load to our network. An IT person doesn’t have to remotely access each system. The synchronization with Universal Type Server happens automatically, making the process extremely efficient and saving hours of valuable IT resources.”
