PORTLAND, Ore. — October 9, 2012 —Extensis typography experts, Thomas Phinney and Jim Kidwell, will be hitting the road to share expert insights on the new web typography frontier.
Starting with the world renowned ATypI conference in Hong Kong, Phinney will speak to this global audience on October 10, 2012 about “Crowdsourced Font Funding”, with specific focus on Kickstarter’s impact on type design.
From Hong Kong, Phinney will travel to Las Vegas to join a panel of experts on October 16, 2012 at the Pubcon conference to share best practices for implementing CSS and deliver “no nonsense code beautification.”
On October 22-24, 2012, Kidwell will join Phinney in New York for the annual Future of Web Design Conference. At the event, Kidwell will share “Best Practices for Incredible Web Typography”, while Phinney dives into the granular in a hands-on workshop that teaches attendees how to integrate incredible typography into their web projects.
To wrap up 2012, Extensis will sponsor a free workshop with the AIGA Chicago on November 17. Phinney will deliver a combination of presentation and immersive, hands-on workshop on using @font-face and CSS3 typographic controls to create great web typography.
