Extensis Announces Portfolio 6.1 for Mac OS X

Macworld Conference and Expo, San Francisco, Calif. — January 7, 2003 — Extensis today announced Portfolio 6.1 for Mac OS X- its award-winning Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution. In addition to adding Mac OS X compatibility, Portfolio 6.1, which will ship at the end of January, includes new features that make it the easiest and most effective way for professionals to share, organize, retrieve and distribute the digital files they create and use on a regular basis. Extensis is located in booth number 2223.

Portfolio is the first pro-caliber level tool for organizing and managing all digital file types in Mac OS X. With the powerful combination of its Mac OS X client and server capabilities, Extensis offers users a complete management solution for complex digital file organization needs.

“This isn’t just a quick ‘carbonization’ for Portfolio,” said Craig Keudell, chief operating officer for Extensis. “Instead it is a complete rewrite designed to tap some of Mac OS X’s powerful features and provide users with a more elegant and efficient way to manage their digital images and other files.”

With the completion of Portfolio 6.1, Extensis has successfully migrated its entire Portfolio product line to Mac OS X. Extensis announced Portfolio Server for Mac OS X in July of 2002. Registered owners of Portfolio 6 are eligible to receive a free upgrade to Portfolio 6.1 through the Extensis website at http://cde.extensis.com/portfolio.

Additionally, Portfolio 6.1 adds a recently used catalogs menu when Portfolio 6.1 is running, allowing users to open and access any recently opened catalog by selecting it from a pop-up menu within the Mac OS X Dock.
