Carter's Selects Extensis' Portfolio Solution for Digital Asset Management Needs

Portland, Ore. – February 7, 2005 – Extensis Inc. today announced that Carter’s, Inc. (NYSE: CRI), the largest branded marketer of baby and young children’s apparel in the United States, has selected Portfolio as its digital asset management solution for managing, accessing and organizing its digital assets to employees, partners and vendors. Under the terms of the agreement, Carter’s awarded Extensis a contract for both technology and consulting services to benefit nearly 100 users across multiple departments within the company.

Implementation is currently underway to initially serve Carter’s artists and designers supporting multiple locations across the country. The Portfolio solution will allow Carter’s creative team immediate access to the files they need regardless of the system they are using or geographic location through a secure, centralized website. Carter’s will be utilizing Extensis’ complete Portfolio solution including Portfolio Server with SQL Connect for Microsoft SQL Server, which will manage all its graphic images and collateral used in the development of new clothing lines.
