Osamu drives the corporate vision and strategy for Extensis, a position he has held since 2007. He started his career in software by building partnerships with technology and software companies from countries like the US and UK, and marketing them in Japan. This experience brought him to the United States to establish the US subsidiary of Celartem, a Japanese software company. He spearheaded the strategic acquisition of Extensis and was involved in the acquisition of LizardTech as founding President and CEO. Working for Extensis, a font management solution provider, was an act of fate: Osamu’s father ran his own Phototypesetting firm until it became obsolete with the popularity of Macintosh and their desktop publishing software. While not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 children and a chocolate labradoodle named Peco, and exploring new places across the United States.
