| ID | Description |
| A | Stability Improvements: Fixed several server stability issues. These include server crashes on dual processor Mac OS X servers, as well as various other server crashes on both Mac and Windows platforms. This also includes cases where the server would no longer accept client connections, resulting in the server needing to be restarted. These cases generally took place under certain heavy load conditions. |
| B | Reorganized Workgroup tables within the SQL database. These changes result in significant overall performance improvements when working in the Admin Users and Workgroups area. |
| C | Significant overall
performance improvements when running the server on a Mac OS X platform. |
| D | Fixed compatibility issue with Norton Anti Virus on a Mac OS X client. This would result in "File is Busy" errors when previewing or deactivating fonts. |
| E | Fixed Font Reserve Server 1.7 issue whereby on certain installations the Font Reserve Settings dialog would not launch correctly from System Preferences menu. |
| F | Fixed Font Reserve XTension issue with QuarkXPress 6 whereby placing an image into QuarkXPress 6 with Font Reserve plug-in working would cause the image not to display until refreshed. |
| G | Fixed numerous other issues. |

| G | Numerous Bug Fixes: Numerous bugs were fixed in the Font Reserve Client, Font Reserve Server and the following auto-activation plug-ins: QuarkXPress 4/5, QuarkXPress 6, InDesign CS, and Illustrator CS. |
| ID | Description |
| A | A second user cannot run Font Reserve via fast-user switching in OS 10.3 and 10.4. In order for the second user to run Font Reserve, the Font Reserve Proxy process must be quit, by logging the first user out of the Mac, shutting down Font Reserve via the System Preferences panel in OS X, or quitting the Font Reserve Proxy process via the Activity Monitor under OS 10.3 (see Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder in OS X). |
| B | Activating entire font families via the QuarkXPress 4/5, QuarkXPress 6, InDesign CS, or Illustrator CS plug-ins can be time consuming. |
| C | In heavy load environments, it is recommended to run with Verbose Logging turned OFF in the Font Reserve Server Manager unless using the setting for a short period of time to specifically troubleshoot an issue. |
| D | Due to changes in OS X, you may notice that certain fonts that worked fine with Mac OS 9, specifically some picture or symbol fonts, may not render correctly in Mac OS X. |
