Extensis Products and Mac OS X Leopard Compatibility
Our goal is to have our products fully compatible with the latest versions of the core applications and operating systems our customers are using. We, therefore, are currently working to update our font management and digital asset management products to be fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). This page provides details on the status of our Leopard compatibility updates – any new updates and/or notices will be posted to this page as soon as they become available.

1
Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, prior to CS3, are not supported under Leopard. QuarkXPress, prior to version 7, is not supported under Leopard as well. Therefore, Extensis auto-activation plug-ins for legacy versions of these applications may not operate as expected under Leopard. You can download Extensis font manager plug-ins for QuarkXPress 7 and Adobe CS3 applications now for Suitcase Fusion and also Font Reserve.
2 Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) does not currently offer global auto-activation support for any third party font manager. Please continue to check this page for updated information about this feature.
* For Font Management Applications
Note: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) introduces a basic version of font auto-activation. We recommend disabling this feature to allow the auto-activation plug-ins for your application to accurately activate fonts in your Extensis font manager. The Mac OS X 10.5 font activation feature can be disabled by opening the Font Book application located in your Applications folder and selecting Font Book > Preferences… and unchecking the "Automatic font activaton" box, then selecting Font Book > Quit.
Unlike Font Book that was not designed to meet the needs of professional creatives, professional font managers will provide the precision and control needed in your workflow. They will help you avoid content reflow and missing glyph issues because you can rely on exact auto-activation when opening and working in your Illustrator, InDesign and QuarkXPress documents. There are many more features, like activating fonts in embedded PDF or EPS files, which are designed to help professional creatives get their jobs done.
