Additional file support notes:
- If you catalog a file which is not listed as supported, it will be represented with the generic icon used by your operating system for the file's type.
- Supported audio and video formats will play back within Portfolio's preview window.
- For some file formats, Portfolio has the ability to convert batches of images to TIFF, JPEG or VFZ/PFZ.
- Portfolio can embed certain types of metadata into TIFF- and JPEG-formatted files.
- Portfolio can also index and search text from selected file formats.
- Portfolio does not currently support extraction of metadata from .XMP sidecar files. Extensis recommends the use of Adobe DNG for proper custom metadata exchange.
- Portfolio extracts metadata and a 1024x768 JPEG preview from Adobe DNG files. Portfolio does not currently support the batch conversion of DNG files.
- Portfolio extracts metadata and a 680x680 TIFF preview from Hasselblad/Imacon FFF files. Portfolio does not currently support the batch conversion of FFF files. FFF files are only supported on Mac OS X.
- Support for the following Kodak Raw file types is not available on Intel-based Macintosh computers:
- 720x
- 760c
- 760m
- ProBack
- ProBack Plus
- 645c
- 645h
- 645m
These cameras are still supported on PowerPC-based Macintosh computers.
