Portfolio Raw Format Support

The most recent version of Portfolio single user - version 8.5.6 - uses the open source "DCRaw" library, which includes support for most of the formats listed below. Some of the formats listed below were supported by a Raw filter that is no longer used in Portfolio and are not supported in version 8.5.6.

The list below constitutes camera models either supported by DCRaw or the prior Raw filter and tested to thumbnail and extract metadata and indicated with a solid red dot. Camera models that are not listed as supported in version 8.5.6 but were supported in version 8.5.5 or prior are specialty or retired camera models. Customers with these camera models, who purchased the product prior to June 2009 may continue using version 8.5.2.

* Adobe DNG files that contain color adjustments made in Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom should be saved with full-size JPEG previews.

** The following Kodak Raw file types are not supported under Intel-based systems: 720x, 760c, 760m, ProBack, ProBack Plus, 645c, 645h, 645m. These cameras are still supported for PowerPC-based systems.
