Darden Studio
Darden Studio publishes the typefaces of Joshua Darden and friends. Josh started designing type at the age of 15, but released his breakthrough typeface “Freight” some years later with GarageFonts. He started his own foundry in 2004. Darden has done typefaces for clients such as Wolff Olins, Landor Associates, Reebok, Reader’s Digest, and The New York Times Magazine.
Darden Studio’s interests include multi-lingual type design, so many of their typefaces include Greek and Cyrillic support. This reflects the cosmopolitan nature of Brooklyn, New York, where the foundry is based.
