Dalton Maag

Dalton Maag is a type foundry and logo design firm which started in 1991, and is run by Bruno Maag and David Marshall. Dalton Maag is well known for their branding solutions for major British and international companies, including BBC, BMW, Toyota and Bang & Olufsen.

Besides their London headquarters, they have offices in Brazil and Cairo, which reflects their interest in multi-lingual typefaces: their “Corp” typefaces have Greek and Cyrillic support, and they have also done Arabic. They have ten employees, plus interns. Dalton Maag’s staff includes Vincent Connare (who did Trebuchet and Comic Sans while at Microsoft), Ron Carpenter (designer of Calisto and Amasis while at Monotype) and Malcolm Wooden (former proprietor of DTP Types).
